Lăcrămioara Chalet
Lăcrămioara Chalet is located approximately three hours of walking away from the Valea Sâmbetei Cabin, a highly attractive tourist spot, visited by both domestic and foreign tourists. Its surroundings offer enchanting views throughout all four seasons, but especially in the autumn when the multicolored leaves clothe the forest in a superb rusty mantle. The strong mountain air, the nearby forest, and the flowing water represent a refuge from the everyday. The land on which the chalet is built has an area of 1400 square meters, surrounded by a fence and crossed by a cold mountain stream, as appropriate for a true mountain chalet.
The chalet is equipped with a living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one of which has a shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room features a fireplace that provides a pleasant ambiance and a warm atmosphere, where you can spend moments of relaxation and enjoyment with friends and family. The chalet's heating is provided by a state-of-the-art wood-burning stove, equipped with safety and high autonomy systems. The chalet's courtyard includes a gazebo and a barbecue area, making it an ideal space for recreation for both guests and pets.
The hermitage of the father is situated in the Făgăraș Mountains, along the Sâmbăta Valley, near the Sâmbăta Cabin. The hermitage is an almost inaccessible place, carved into the groove of steep rock walls, where he sculpted the image of the Mother of God, thus transforming the wilderness of the mountains into an altar of prayer and meditation.
Situated in the Sâmbăta River valley, at the foothills of the Făgăraș Mountains, the Brâncoveanu Monastery is renowned as a place of retreat, solace, and spiritual strengthening for the faithful and visitors who pray or stop by at this christian sacred site.
In the Drăguș commune, located approximately eight kilometers from the Sâmbăta Monastery, a ski slope was inaugurated in 2009. This slope is similar in size to the Bradul Sky Slope in Poiana Brașov, and the skiing area is equipped with a chairlift, snow cannons, and nighttime facilities.
Adventure Park Drăguş is situated in the middle of the forest and awaits tourists to explore elevated trails, go zip-lining, and learn techniques of shooting with firearms or bows. Visitors can also descend on a rappel where they can test the mini-golf course.
The stud farm at Sâmbăta de Jos was established in 1874 during the reign of King Carol I, and it had over 300 purebred Lipizzaner horses. Here, 7 bloodlines are raised, named after the stallions that were fundamental in forming the current stock: Conversano, Favory, Maestoso, Neapolitano, Pluto, Siglavy-Capriola, and Tulipan.
Located on the eastern side of the Făgăraș Mountains, at an altitude of 1401 meters, the Valea Sâmbetei Cabin is one of the main entry points into the massif and serves as the starting point for the highest peak in our country, Moldoveanu, at 2545 meters, which is about a five-hour hike away.
Bâlea Lake is one of the five lakes in Romania that are worth seeing whenever the opportunity arises, regardless of the season. The austere beauty of this glacial lake attracts a large number of tourists from all around the world, even though it is located at an altitude of over 2000 meters.
